The three main options for parking in Ocean Beach are the many free street parking spots, several free parking lots or the few paid parking lots.

On the street you can find parallel parking spots on nearly every street along the curb. As you get closer to the beach, these spots are harder and harder to find especially during peek times such as summer weekends. These street parking spots are typically used by residents and those visiting the beach or local businesses. Newport Avenue has diagonal pull-in street parking spots on both sides of the street. However, most days it is a challenge to find a spot on Newport Avenue because of the number of visitors to the restaurants, bars and shops.
