Ocean Beach Street Fair is hosted by the Mainstreet Association The Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association focus is to promote the events and businesses in town and to help visitors answer their questions. The Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association is located in a small building at 1868 Bacon Street, San Diego, CA 92107 and can be reached at (619) 224-4906. Since its founding in 1978, the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association (OBMA) has been a contributor in relating the wishes of OB residents to the City of San Diego on matters such as future development. During the 1990's, the OBMA played an integral part improving the Newport Avenue area such as organizing business owners to upgrade their store fronts and creating Veteran's Plaza. Well known is the organization's Street Fair that runs annually since 1981. The Street Fair also involves a Chili-cookoff and fireworks show. From the OBMA website you can see a live web cam of OB.
