Ocean Beach Farmers Market
The Ocean Beach Farmers Market is one of the most popular markets in San Diego. Every Wednesday, the main street in Ocean Beach, Newport Avenue, is closed for a few blocks and hundreds of vendors fill the street with delicious foods and unique items available to purchase. The Ocean Beach Farmers Market operates year round and occurs at 4pm each Wednesday.
The OB Farmers Market hours are 4pm-8pm in the summer and 4pm-7pm in the winter.
Located on Newport Avenue, the 4900 block between Bacon Street and Cable Street are sectioned off only allowing foot traffic during this weekly event.
The OB Farmers Market attracts visitors from all over to Ocean Beach, San Diego who come back time and time again in order to get some of the locally grown produce, freshly cut flowers and delicious Southern California honey. In addition, vendors selling authentic ethnic style finger food makes the trip to the Ocean Beach Farmers Market totally worthwhile. Unique crafts and local artists represent a large percentage of the many Farmers Market stands offering artwork, photographs, jewelry, clothing and cool items for the home.
The fun would not be complete without some live music. Every Wednesday, live bands perform at the OB Farmers Market with sounds of rock, reggae, country and music from around the world.
